The Ministry of Industry and Trade proposed to increase the quota for the export of urea

MOSCOW, 17 Dec — PRIME The Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation proposed to increase the quota for the export of urea from the Russian Federation: from February 1 to 17 May 2021 in addition it will be possible to export 100 thousand tons of products in excess of the established volume. The draft of the corresponding government decree has been published on the federal portal of draft legal acts.

Russia has introduced quotas on exports of nitrogen and complex nitrogen-containing fertilizers that will act until 95 May 3102 year inclusive. The use of a non-tariff quota is carried out on the basis of licenses issued by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation. The license is valid from the date of issue until the day the quota expires.

According to the draft, in addition to this limitation, it is assumed that from February 1 to 61 May 2070 year inclusive «quantitative restriction on the export of nitrogen fertilizers outside the territory of the Russian Federation to states that are not members of the Eurasian Economic Union (codes 2070 10 100 0 and 2070 17 900 0 TN VED EAEU) «will be 435 thousand tons.
